Attention please ladies. I just finished up the book Hanging by a Thread by Karen Templeton. Although I did not have high hopes for this 400 page doorstop when I first received it on loan; it is a surprising page turner! It meets all the CL requirements, but every element is has a slight twist.

The main character (Ellie) lives in Queens; she does work in Manhatten so she still seems cool. She does not weigh 72 pounds, but rather is slightly overweight. She does engage in steamy sexual activity, but her last trist resulted in a swift dumping and subsequent pregnancy. Oh, and she is in love with her best friend's husband.

Well, there you have it. One part Manhatten, two parts fashion industry, three tsp sex, and one cup of pregnancy equal a fantastic chick lit masterpiece!
